E-Safety

Back

At Bayards Hill Primary School we aim to support children to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly; recognise acceptable and unacceptable behaviour; identify a range of ways to report concerns about content and contact; identify where to go for help and support when they have concerns about content or contact on the Internet or other online technologies.

The lessons and assemblies they receive in school will enable them to make the right choices and learn how to keep themselves safe. The web is a wonderful learning and social resource but as with anything children need to learn what is appropriate and safe.

The most important advice to parents is to talk to your child and play an active part in their time online,

If you have any concerns then please speak to your class teacher who will refer you to the child protection officer at school if necessary.

You can report incidents directly to the police using this web address:

You can also download the parent information leaflets below. If you would like a hard copy of these leaflets please ask at the school office.

The link below gives details of how to keep your child safe when they use common social media apps such as whatsapp and instagram - simply type in the app you want to learn about.
