Headteacher's Welcome
On behalf of all the pupils, parents/carers, staff and governors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of Bayards Hill Primary School. As Headteacher, I am extremely proud and privileged to have worked in the school for over 10 years.
We are a one-form entry school providing academic and pastoral provision for over 240 pupils, from Nursery to Year 6. We promote the basic British values of: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for those of different faiths and beliefs. As part of our commitment to developing character, all staff, pupils and governors share and promote our three key values: we are respectful, responsible and resilient.
We believe that a great education is built from positive relationships and strong partnerships between home and school. We recognise children as unique individuals with talents and needs that are nurtured through inclusive classrooms; where they can flourish and reach their full potential. We celebrate each other’s successes, and we support each other in overcoming obstacles and challenges.
Across our ambitious curriculum, we develop creativity, curiosity, initiative, independence and most importantly confidence and self-belief. This is enriched through the creative planning of unique experiences, educational trips and visits, and visitors to schools.
The website offers an insight into the amazing things that take place in our school. However, visits are encouraged and warmly welcomed: we would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school.
