Our British Values
We know that British Values is an important part of every child’s personal development. By learning about democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance, pupils gain the skills and understanding they need to become confident, kind, and responsible citizens.
These values help children to respect differences, make positive choices, and work well with others, both in school and in the wider community. To make learning fun and memorable, we even have our own British Values Rap which helps pupils remember and celebrate these important principles. Through lessons, assemblies, and everyday school life, we encourage our pupils to live these values so they are prepared for life in modern Britain.
British Values Rap
A vote for you
And a vote for me
We all have a say in democracy
We do the right thing
And we all take care
The rule of law keeps it safe and fair
I think it’s great
You are different to me
I’m tolerant of the things I see
You listen to me
I listen to you
Mutual respect is the thing we do
We can follow our dreams
With the rules, we’re free
That’s individual liberty
